A flower wonders if...

  • The dark sky means a storm is coming... and will its roots be strong enough against the strong winds a storm will bring?

  • It should have grown along the left side of the garden, instead of to the right?

  • The sun that has gone away, that nourishes it, will kill it with its intensity?

  • The wind that caught its seeds will send them to a good place where they will grow well?

  • When the time comes for it to go, will anyone remember it with a smile?

  • The girl sitting in the garden, looking up at the moon,  knows just how much she truly loves the boy?

  • The boy, whom the girl is wishing for, knows that each time he goes away, the girl gets so scared she might not see him again?

  • The moon will pass on the girl's wishes to the boy?

   I heart pink roses.

Two Lazy Worms... Sitting On A Floor... T-A-L-K-I-N-G...

Tribute To A Great Lazy Worm

A few years ago, two worms happened to meet. Let's just call them Worm A and Worm B. Worm B thought Worm A was the greatest. Worm A was smart, funny, really sweet and, on top of that, hot as heck. Worm B was so happy to be friends with Worm A. They shared silly jokes, secrets and food. So, Worm B was very sad when Worm A had to move away.

Worm A, being the good friend that it is, sent letters to Worm B. At first, Worm B wrote back, but being the lazy worm that it is, after a while, it stopped. [What a bad friend Worm B was, huh?] Then, Worm B had to move away too.

Worm B often thought about its old friends, especially Worm B. Then, amazingly, more than a decade later, Worm A found Worm B and contacted it. Worm B was so excited to hear from its old friend. Both worms decided to meet up and catch up.

Worm B was a little nervous at first because it hadn't seen Worm A for so long. But it had nothing to worry about. When they met up, Worm B found that Worm A was just as wonderful as it remembered Worm A to be. Once again, they shared silly jokes, secrets and food. Worm A told Worm B that it had been looking for it for so long. Worm B was so touched.

Though both worms have grown up, nothing has really changed. It was like it was only a month ago that they last talked. So, here's to Worm A and to years of friendship ahead. If only there were more friends like Worm A.

What a girl thinks her boyfriend would blog about if he actually blogged...

Nasi lemak (fragrant coconut rice with gravy) is the only thing available for breakfast that is within a 10-minute walk from my house. My girlfriend nags me about it because she thinks it is not healthy.

I like to drive manual cars because then I can control the speed and the performance. My girlfriend nags me about driving safely, even when I'm only going at about 80 km/h. I think the Volkswagon Golf GTI 2.0 would be amazing to drive, and am trying to convince my girlfriend to get one. She, of course, is being a bore about it as she would much prefer an automatic car.

I don't like to eat vegetables, and my girlfriend is always going on about how I should eat more healthily. I think she should chill because she stresses too much. She says I need my vitamins, but I've managed to survive so far without daily intakes of vegetables.

I want to paint my car black because I think black would really suit the design of my car. My girlfriend wants to paint it pink and decorate it with crystals. I can't decide if she's serious or if she's just playing with me. I mean, seriously, a PINK car?!? With CRYSTALS?!? She tried talking me into painting it red. I think that's because she can then "accidentally" mix in some white into the red. As if I'm going to fall for that.

Food. Cars. Nagging girlfriend. Food. Cars.

Two frogs on a lily pad; Or What every male frog needs to know...

Two frogs live together on a lily pad in the middle of a pond...

A male frog and a female frog...
One day the male frog goes to visit his friends at another pond...
The female frog waits for the male frog to call her... but he doesn't...
Of course the female frog could always call the male frog...
After all, she does have a mobile phone...
But she doesn't...
She waits...
She thinks maybe the male frog forgot about her...

If I don't call you... it's not because I forgot about you...
[It's because I'm waiting for you to call me.]

When the male frog comes back...
The female frog is obviously annoyed...
He, being a male, does not notice and tries to snuggle up to her...
She pushes him away...

When I push you away...
[Hold me and don't let me go.]

The male frog tries again...
This time the female frog doesn't push him away...
Encouraged, the male frog starts talking about his trip...
The female frog ignores him...

If I ignore you...
[It's because I want you to pay attention to me.]

The male frog asks her if anything was wrong...
Being a typical female, she replies...
"I'm fine."
The male, being smart enough not to believe her...
Asks her again...
She gets angry...

When I start getting angry with you...
[Kiss me and tell me you love me.]

The male knows that he was wrong not to have called her...
And that she was lonely when he was away...
He apologises...
The female frog tells him...
"I miss you."

When I say I miss you...
[I'm hurting so much inside.]

The Story of a Boy and a Girl... Part Two...

The girl was so scared because she was not there with him, that she might lose him. She was afraid that he would meet someone better than her, someone who was just as kind, and sweet, and gentle, and caring, and understanding as he was. She tried so hard to be the best that she could be for him because she knew that if she lost him, the loss would break her. However, no matter how hard she tried to cling on to him, she felt that he was slipping away from her. After all, he did have his own life to lead, just as she had her own life to lead.

This caused her to be very insecure, and as a result, she was not nearly as kind, and sweet, and gentle, and caring, and understanding as she should have been. She was aware of how badly she was acting and tried to stop herself. But the more scared she became, the worse she behaved. And the worse she behaved, the more scared she was that she would lose him. It was a vicious, vicious cycle.

At the same time, everything else in her life was so unsure. She felt that she was losing control and that she could not cope with what was going on. She retreated into herself and spent many hours getting angry at herself and feeling helpless.  Meanwhile, the boy started his studies again. The girl pushed herself and got a new start on life. She made new friends, she went through a lot of new things and it was good. But always, always, always, the boy was in her thoughts. Not for a second did she ever forget him. They still laughed together, and loved together, and cried together. They both still held on to their promise.

While the girl was living her life in the far, far, far away place, the boy was also living his life. He also made a lot of new friends and was constantly busy with his studies and with his new friends. The girl was happy that the boy was enjoying his new life, but at the same time, she was also afraid that he would slip away from her. After all, she had been away for quite a long time now.

The Story of a Boy and a Girl... Part One...

A girl fell in love with a boy. She felt for him what she had never felt for anyone before him. He was kind, and sweet, and gentle, and caring, and understanding. She loved those qualities in him. He was also fun, and funny, and silly, and playful. She also loved all of those traits.

Since he was so kind and so sweet, she tried to be just as kind and as sweet. She also wanted to be just as gentle and caring and understanding as he was. And because he was so fun, and funny, and silly, and playful, she allowed herself to be fun, and funny, and silly, and playful with him too. She loved that she could be herself with him and that she was so comfortable with him.

They spent day after day together. They laughed together, they played together, they ate together, they loved together, they cried together. Then, one day, the girl had to go far, far, far away. They were both very sad, but they promised each other that they would wait for one another. She was still very sad, but at least she had the security of his promise and that gave her strength and hope.

The boy also had to leave. The boy left before the girl did. She was very upset, but also glad that he had left before her because she knew that if he was with her when the time came for her to leave, it would have been very, very, very difficult for her. So the boy left and a few days after that, the girl left to go far, far, far away.

The girl was in the far, far, far away place for two years. It was a very difficult time for the both of them. He was still kind, and sweet, and gentle, and caring, and understanding. He was also still fun, and funny, and silly, and playful. She still loved him so much and she held on to him. They still laughed together, and loved together, and cried together. But the girl was so scared.

A jar of cookies...

Sometimes a girl is in the mood for a chocolate chip cookie. Sometimes, a girl craves for one filled with nuts. Occasionally, she would like an oatmeal and raisin cookie. Sometimes, she might go looking for a more exotic one, like a raspberry Viennesse. Sometimes a girl likes it sweet, sometimes she likes it a bit bitter. Sometimes, she likes it full of ingredients. And sometimes, she likes it plain. So, a girl should always keep her cookie jar filled with a variety of cookies to suit all the different sometimes.

A girl bakes some cookies. She decides to experiment a little, and throws in a few extra nuts and some orange flavouring. The cookies come out tasting absolutely delicious. A week later, she decides to bake more cookies. Since her last experiment was successful, she decides to be more adventurous and adds even more ingredients to the mix. The cookies taste horrible and the girl cries for a bit, feeling like a failure. She then gathers herself together, throws out the cookies and makes a promise to herself to try again soon.

A few different cookies live together in a glass jar. They are all good friends. The chocolate chip is the best of friends with the hazelnut. The oatmeal and raisin likes to chat with the chocolate chip about everything and nothing. The dark chocolate is a little shy, but the chocolate chip keeps talking to it and the two are soon sharing secrets. But all these different cookies have different temperaments, and they sometimes get annoyed with each other. Sometimes the chocolate chip refused to talk to the dark chocolate. Sometimes the oatmeal and raisin chose to ignore all the others. Since they all live together, they see each other all the time and this adds to the tension. So, they pop out of the cookie jar occasionally, then come back refreshed and happy. All the cookies in the jar are still good friends.

A man and a woman meet...

A man and a woman meet at a coffee shop...

The man says... "Do you have the time?"
The woman replies... "Sure, it's half past 5."
The man shakes his head and says... "No, it's not. I think it's time I met you."
The woman decides if she should feel amused or annoyed, then tells the man... "No, it's not. I think it's time for you to get lost."

A man and a woman meet in a bookstore...
The man says... "Did you hear that sound?"
The woman, though annoyed, is curious and asks... "What sound? I didn't hear anything."
The man looks at the woman with [what he thinks is] a charming smile, and says... "The sound of me falling for you!"
The woman looks at him with pity, then replies... "No, I didn't hear that. But now listen to the sound of me walking away."

A man and a woman meet in a club...
The man walks up to the woman and says... "Could you please give me your phone number? I seem to have lost mine."
The woman tells the man... "Well, I don't really see the point of it. If you lost your number, then you would probably lose mine as well. Let's save me the trouble of giving you a fake number, and of you deciding how long to wait before you call that fake number."

A man and a woman meet in a club again...
The man checks out a gorgeous woman and decides to talk to her... "Baby, your father must be a terrorist because, honey, you're DA BOMB!"
The woman looks disgusted and says to him... "I wish my father IS a terrorist so I could ask him to drop a bomb on YOU."

A crab and a scorpion meet one day...

One day, a little scorpion is walking along the beach and sees a girl. The girl is filling up an empty jar with sea water. She sees the scorpion and says hello. The scorpion stops and says hello back. Day after day, the scorpion would see the girl and day after day, the girl would talk to it. Soon, the two are close friends.

The scorpion confesses to the girl that it is lonely. The girl tells the scorpion that she knows a nice little crab that would make a nice friend for the scorpion. The scorpion is doubtful and says that it has been hurt in the past and finds it difficult to trust. However, the girl is insistent and so, a few days later, the girl introduces the crab to the scorpion.

The crab is very sweet and friendly and the scorpion finds that it is very much drawn to the crab. Not long after that, the two become very, very close. The two enjoy the other's company immensely. But a few months later, the crab and the scorpion begin to argue with each other. At first, it was just minor arguments but those minor arguments soon escalated into full-blown drama.

Though both have thick, hard shells, the scorpion couldn't help but feel the pinch of the crab's claws. Likewise, the crab often felt the scorpion's sting. The scorpion and the crab still cared deeply about the other, so they decided to talk out whatever problems they were having. After an emotional discussion, the crab and the scorpion promised each other that they would try their hardest to understand each other more. The crab promised to not use its claws anymore and the scorpion, in turn, promised not to sting the crab anymore.

To this day, the crab and the scorpion, though so different in so many ways, are still very, very close. The two still argue, but they always talk it through after.

One day...

One day, a baby girl came into this world. This baby girl then grew up and became a little girl. When she was a little girl, her mommy gave her a book to read. The little girl loved the book and asked her mommy for more. Her mommy was only glad to encourage this newfound interest and took the little girl to a bookstore. The little girl's mommy let her choose any books she wanted, so off she went around the store. This went on until the little girl grew into a teenager.

When she was a teenager, she went through the usual teenage angst. She often felt lonely and misunderstood. She had loving parents and nice friends, but still she felt as if something important was missing. Luckily for her, she had her loyal childhood friends - her books. Whenever she felt lonely, she turned to a book and met new friends. Whenever she felt trapped, she opened a book and traveled all over the world. And this is how she became a daydreamer.
